Reflections Art Contest

Reflections is a national art contest that all youth K-12 can participate in. There are several categories that they can enter original art into: Photography, Dance, Music, Film, Literature, 2D Art, 3D Art, and Special Artist (this category is for students that have disabilities or have an IEP/504). All entries are submitted online at the Utah PTA Website. Each category has a set of rules that must be followed to be accepted. The students’ written artist statement is worth a lot of points, so encourage them to write something meaningful. You may be asked to provide the artwork if it is selected to move on to the next level and/or be displayed. Levels include: school, district, region, state, and national. Students may enter into multiple categories. Entries for Edgemont Elementary are due October 2nd. Students that win an award will be notified and spotlighted at the November SOAR Assembly. Concurso de arte Reflections
Reflections es un concurso nacional de arte en el que pueden participar odos los jóvenes de primaria a secundaria. Hay varias categorías en las que pueden presentar obras de arte originales: Fotografía, Danza, Música, Cine, Literatura, Arte 2D, Arte 3D y Artista Especial (esta categoría es para estudiantes que ienen discapacidades o ienen un IEP/504). Todos los rabajos se presentan en línea en el sitio web de la PTA de Utah. Cada categoría iene una serie de normas que deben seguirse para ser aceptadas. La declaración del artista escrita por los estudiantes vale muchos puntos, así que anímeles a escribir algo significativo. Es posible que se le pida que proporcione la obra si es seleccionada para pasar al siguiente nivel y/o ser expuesta. Los niveles son: escolar, de distrito, regional, estatal y nacional. Los alumnos pueden participar en varias categorías. Las inscripciones para Edgemont Elementary vencen el 2 de octubre.
