• JP went over the council’s internet safety responsibilities.
  • Web filter the district uses is ContentKeeper.
  • Use Bark.us to monitor student Google accounts
  • Blocksi.net is used to manage classroom Chromebooks
• Youtube is blocked for prek-8
• The council helps decide what curriculum the school uses to educate students about internet safety. We use NetSafe
• When students access inappropriate content. JP will contact Admin. Admin will investigate and include parents in helping the student.
• Parents can contact IT to suggest sites that should be blocked.
• Sara Thompson presenting on the Safe UT App
  • Problems can be reported through the app so the admin can investigate it and help resolve issues
• Harmony talked to the city about the crossing at Quail Valley Road/Little Rock
  • Right now it has flashing lights. The neighborhood decided to make it a Pedestrian crosswalk. The city is monitoring the crosswalk to see if it meets the requirements to make it a school crossing. At this time it does not meet the requirements.
  • It would be good to make a crossing by the seminary building. The closest crosswalk is a quarter of a mile away from the seminary building.
  • In the summer both sides of Canyon Road will have sidewalks
• Jeff is going to find out who the Stake President is for the church by Edgemont to see if we can get a key and use the church as a reunification site for the school incase of an emergency evacuation.
