Netsmartz Tips: Cyberbullying

Here are some tips if you or your kids encounter cyberbullying: 

  1. Focus on what’s in your control. You can control how you respond, report, and address the issue. 
  2. Know the signs of cyberbullying. If your child is behaving inexplicably, isolating, attached to device, they might be victims of cyberbullying. 
  3. Use your resources. Most apps and sites have safety features to report inappropriate behavior. There’s also an app called SafeUT, dedicated to reporting student concerns.
