HOPE WEEK March 19th – 22nd This year’s theme is SELFIE which stands for Sleep, Exercise, Light, Fun, Interaction, and Eating healthy.
Students will be greeted Tuesday morning by Hope Squad members passing out Hope wristbands and information on our theme SELFIE.
Tuesday’s theme is Exercise Regular exercise helps to reduce risk factors of cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes and obesity and improves mental health, balance, flexibility, coordination and strength.
-Dress up for Tuesday is exercise clothes, or regular workout clothes -During lunch recess we will have fitness competitions
Wednesday’s theme is Light Sunlight is a crucial ingredient for overall health and can reduce stress and depression.
-Dress up for Wednesday is wear tropical themed clothes -During lunch there will be a self care BINGO game and other outside recess games
Thursday’s theme is Fun The “F” in SELFIE stands for fun, meaning have a laugh, play a game, do something you love. Having a fun time helps overall mental and physical health.
-Dress up for Thursday is wearing yellow or mixed match clothes -During lunch recess we will play music and have other recess games to join in on
Friday’s theme is Sleep Sleep promotes growth, helps the heart, helps beat germs, increases attention span, and boosts learning.
-Dress up for Friday is PJ’s or comfy clothes -During lunch there will be a photobooth for students to take a “SELFIE”
