Welcome to Mme. Lehmann and Mrs. Mattinson’s Third Grade Class!
We are excited to start a new school year and meet our new class! Mme. Lehmann will be teaching French in the afternoon and Mrs. Mattinson will be teaching English literacy in the morning.
If you are new to Edgemont and need to know where to enter the building, go to the Home Page and click on Map of School. We are in the SouthWest portable.
Third grade students are excited to learn how to write in cursive and memorize the multiplication facts. We spend a lot of time reading, writing, and thinking!
Some of the things we study in third grade are:
- Earth, Moon, & Sun
- Living & Nonliving Things
- Force & Motion
- Heat & Light
- Native Americans
Reading calendars are due the first Friday of each month. Third graders need to read 100 minutes each week. We will have field trips after the calendars are due. Field Trips may include swimming, bowling, sledding, and the Discovery Children’s museum. Enjoy your reading time!
We are so excited to be working with your children! We love teaching children, especially third graders. We know that we will have a wonderful year together!
