Dear Edgemont Families,

Welcome back to another wonderful week at Edgemont!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are ready to jump into a great week of learning.  Last Monday we had a great art show and I just wanted to say a huge thank you to our teachers and PTA who organized, hung up lots of art, and pulled it all together.  It was wonderful to see our Edgemont families and students at the school appreciating their children’s art work.  

This week our PTA will be holding their annual Extravaganza on Friday from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. It will take place out on the field and back playground. PTA has been working really hard to organize this event and it will be their big fundraiser for the year.  It’s also lots of fun and a great time for families.  We look forward to seeing you all there! As we finish out our school year in the next few weeks, I also wanted to say thank you to all of our parents and community for all of your strength and steadiness through the second half of the school year. 

We’ve been through some tough stuff, but we’ve emerged stronger and more focused. I’d also like to thank the teachers at Edgemont who have kept their focus on their students’ learning.  We thank those staff members who will be moving on next school year to new assignments at other schools, other places, or moving on for life events and wish them the best.  We are also excited to welcome our new hires who will be joining our Edgemont team next year. 

Like we do each year, we’ll be sending out more information about each of our Edgemont teachers. Please watch your emails for an introduction to each of our new hires, as well as those who will continue at Edgemont next year. As always, our focus at Edgemont remains on the children we’ve been entrusted with and their learning and growth.  I thank you for being a partner in your child’s education.  If you ever have any questions or concerns, please reach out to me or stop by.   Have a terrific week and I’ll see you at the Extravaganza!
