Dear Edgemont Families,

Welcome back to school this week! Our students are beginning to get into the routine of school again and are working hard.  Here are a couple of reminders for our parking lot and pick up and drop off times.

Please do not park in the handicap parking unless you have a handicap sticker or tag.  We have several families who need these spots, but have been unable to park there because of other cars taking the spaces who don’t have handicap stickers or tags.  If you need to park, please use the visitor or other parking spaces in our parking lot. Always use the crosswalk to cross the driveway.  Please do not walk across the school driveway area at any place besides the crosswalk.  Cars can’t always see you or your children if you’re not in the crosswalk and you could get hit. The Provo Police have asked that parents please do not drop off on the street by the back south end walkway of the school.  This is a private neighborhood that isn’t built for the extra traffic of a drop off and pick up.  In addition, children have almost been hit while being dropped off there.  The designated drop off area is in the front of the school in our drop off lanes.

We are in need of a parent representative to serve on our school Safety Committee.  If you are interested, please email Harmony at harmonyk@provo.edu.

We have two parent openings for our Community Council.  If you are interested, please send in the attached form by September 8.  Elections will be held on September 9.
