Make-a-Date THURSDAY  Plan a one-on-one date with each of your kids! Practice the previous three challenges on this date! Need a little help?  Try these conversation starters:

If you could be invisible for one day, what would you do? Who is your best friend and why? What is one of your all time favorite memories? If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be? Where would you go on your dream vacation and what would you do?

“There is something simple and yet profoundly important in spending one-on-one time with each individual child.  It doesn’t matter what you do, what matters is that you talk, laugh, cry, agree, disagree, and always part ways with an ‘I love you.’”

One-on-one dates may seem a little daunting to think about.  One suggestion is to pick the day of the month that corresponds to each child’s birthday.  Doesn’t have to be all day, grab an ice cream cone or make a quick trip to Swig.  We can’t wait to hear about your dates!

In case you missed it…

NetSmartz November Tip: Online Predators.  Learn to spot the red flags: 1) spending increased time alone with their device, 2) getting upset when not allowed on device, 3) taking steps to conceal what they are doing online, 4) receiving gifts from people you don’t know.  Make a date and go through your child’s friends and followers lists together!
