Dear Edgemont Families,

We’ve got lots happening at Edgemont this week.  This Thursday we will have a lockdown/active shooter drill at our school at 10:30.  During this drill the teachers lock their doors, turn out the lights and move out of sight in the classroom.  Everyone is quiet and pretends like “no one is home” in the classroom. Teachers wait until the all clear signal to unlock their doors.  During the drill we will not be able to check in/check out students.  Parents will need to wait until the drill is over.  The drill will take 15-20 minutes and will be completed by 11:00 am.   On Friday we have our PTA Fund Run.  Please check your emails for more details and information on how to donate.  This fundraiser goes directly to your children’s grade level and helps pay for field trips, school supplies, and other grade level materials.  Each grade level had made a wish list of items they hope to purchase with the Fund Run funds.  You can view these on our social media and website.  Check the schedule below to see when your child’s grade level will be running and you can come cheer them on during that time.  Thanks to our PTA for all their work on this activity and to our parents for your generous donations to support your child’s classroom.   Have a great week!
