Important STEM Fair Information

K-4 STEM Fair will take place on Thursday, January 25th. 5th-6th Grade STEM Fair will take place on January 26th. Provo City School District STEM Fair will be on February 4th.

Both school STEM fairs will follow the schedule below:

8:40-9:00 am Students come to the gym, find their project number and set up their project.  Parents can help set up, but must exit before judging starts.

9:00-11:30 am STEM Project Judging.  Grade levels will be called down one at a time for judging.  (Except 5-6th—they will stay in the gym together for the judging).  Students must stay by their project while the judges are walking around.  After their project has been judged, they can go back to their classroom.

12:45 pm Students return to the gym and stand by their projects.

1:00-3:00 pm Parents and classes visit the projects (students must stay by their projects).

3:00 pm Students take down their project and clean up the area around their project.  Everything must be taken home.

Reminders for your STEM fair day:

• Be on time
• Dress nicely—make a good impression on the judges
• Practice, practice, practice answering questions about your project (what you did, how you did it, and your results)
• Bring a book to read quietly.  This will help with wait time.  No electronics are allowed.
• Read through the attached display information and follow the rules for the fair.
• Questions?  Email Mrs. Lee at deannal@provo.edu or come to the office for help.

Parents—We need judges.  If you would like to judge, please contact Mrs. Lee and she will get you signed up.

Información importante sobre la Feria STEM

La Feria STEM de K-4 tendrá lugar el jueves 25 de enero. La Feria STEM de 5º a 6º grado tendrá lugar el 26 de enero. La Feria STEM del Distrito Escolar de la Ciudad de Provo será el 4 de febrero.

Ambas ferias STEM escolares seguirán el siguiente horario:

8:40-9:00 am Los estudiantes llegan al gimnasio, encuentran su número de proyecto y montan su proyecto.  Los padres pueden ayudar a montarlo, pero deben salir antes de que comience la evaluación.

9:00-11:30 am Juicio de proyectos STEM.  Los niveles de grado serán llamados uno a la vez para juzgar.  (Excepto 5-6th-ellos se quedarán en el gimnasio juntos para la evaluación).  Los estudiantes deben permanecer junto a su proyecto mientras los jueces están caminando.  Después de que su proyecto haya sido juzgado, pueden volver a su aula.

12:45 pm Los alumnos vuelven al gimnasio y se quedan junto a sus proyectos.

1:00-3:00 pm Los padres y las clases visitan los proyectos (los estudiantes deben permanecer junto a sus proyectos).

3:00 pm Los estudiantes retiran su proyecto y limpian el área alrededor de su proyecto.  Todo debe ser llevado a casa.

Recordatorios para el día de la feria STEM

Llegar a tiempo Vístete bien – da una buena impresión a los jueces Practica, practica, practica las respuestas a las preguntas sobre tu proyecto (qué hiciste, cómo lo hiciste, y tus resultados) Lleva un libro para leer en silencio.  Esto te ayudará con el tiempo de espera.  No se permite el uso de aparatos electrónicos. Lee la información adjunta sobre la exposición y sigue las reglas de la feria. ¿Preguntas?  Envíe un correo electrónico a la Sra. Lee a deannal@provo.edu o venga a la oficina para obtener ayuda.
