Dear Edgemont Families,

Thank you for your tremendous support today with our Test to Stay event here at Edgemont. Things went smoothly and we were really proud of how well our students, faculty and staff handled this undertaking.  We really care about our students and want to provide the safest learning environment possible. Due to the high number of positive results identified in students and employees, the Utah County Health Department and Provo City School District have decided to move Edgemont to remote (online) learning for the three days of school next week prior to Fall Break. Parents and students will be receiving word from their individual classroom teachers for the work that will be done at home. Students who do not have technology access at home can come and check-out a chromebook from the school.  The office will be open normal hours.  Parents can call the office to check out a chromebook (9-3) and then drive to the front of the school. When the parent arrives, they can call the office and school staff will be on hand to deliver the chromebook to the car. We appreciate how helpful our Edgemont community has been and hope that these efforts will ensure a safer learning environment for all our students in the near future. We look forward to seeing everyone back in person again after Fall Break on Wednesday, October 20.

Gracias por su tremendo apoyo hoy con nuestro evento Test to Stay aquí en Edgemont. Las cosas se desarrollaron sin problemas y estamos realmente orgullosos de lo bien que nuestros estudiantes, profesores y personal manejaron esta empresa.  Realmente nos preocupamos por nuestros estudiantes y queremos proporcionar el ambiente de aprendizaje más seguro posible. Debido al alto número de resultados positivos identificados en los estudiantes y empleados, el Departamento de Salud del Condado de Utah y el Distrito Escolar de la Ciudad de Provo han decidido trasladar Edgemont al aprendizaje a distancia (en línea) durante los tres días de clase de la próxima semana antes de las vacaciones de otoño. Los padres y los estudiantes recibirán información de sus maestros individuales para el trabajo que se hará en casa. Los estudiantes que no tienen acceso a la tecnología en casa pueden venir y sacar un Chromebook de la escuela.  La oficina estará abierta en horario normal.  Los padres pueden llamar a la oficina para sacar un Chromebook (de 9 a 3) y luego conducir hasta el frente de la escuela. Cuando los padres lleguen, pueden llamar a la oficina y el personal de la escuela estará disponible para entregar el Chromebook en el coche. Apreciamos lo útil que ha sido nuestra comunidad de Edgemont y esperamos que estos esfuerzos garanticen un entorno de aprendizaje más seguro para todos nuestros estudiantes en un futuro próximo.
