Dear Edgemont Families,

Happy May Day! I miss you and hope everyone is healthy and well.  School dismissal has been hard on all of us; teachers, admin, students, and parents, but I have been so impressed with how everyone has stepped up and pulled together for our Edgemont children.  I have seen some amazing lessons being taught and also some awesome work from our students.  Way to SOAR eagles!  And thank you parents for all you are doing to make learning happen at home!

As we go into May and start thinking about closing up this very interesting school year, you probably have some questions about how things will work.  We’ve put together a schedule for everyone so you can pick up your items, turn your things into the school, and also have a chance to see your teacher and say goodbye, all while maintaining social distancing and health department guidelines.  Please read the information below carefully:

May 1-15 :  Online instruction continues for all Edgemont students.  Our teachers will also be packing up student items from the classroom and prepping them to return to students the week of May 18-22.

May 15: Last day for online instruction and assignments.

May 18-22:  Students can participate in the virtual PCSD Olympics.  Check your emails and the district website for more information. This will be in place of our normal field day and 5k.

Students and parents will come pick up their items and also turn in chromebooks, library books, and instruments.  If you had packets from teachers, please keep these at home.  With the covid-19 guidelines, we can’t take any of these back from students.   The pick up/drop off will be a curbside drive up in front of the school.  Please stay in your car and people will come get the items from you and bring your items to return to you.  Below is the schedule for when you return your items.

Schedule:

Come drop off your chromebooks, instruments, and library books, pick up your student items and yearbooks,  and also say goodbye to your teacher!  Grade level teachers will be standing outside the front of the building during the times below.  You are welcome to drop off/pick up your items any time during the week of May 18-22, but if you want to say goodbye to your teacher, come during the scheduled grade level time.

Please stay in your car and drive up to the front of the building so we can follow social distancing and health department guidelines.

1-3   PM   First Grade

Tuesday, May 19: 9-11 AM  Second Grade

1-3   PM  Third Grade

Wednesday, May 20: 9-11 AM Fourth Grade

1-3   PM Fifth Grade

Thursday, May 21:     9-11 AM Sixth Grade

1-3   PM  Curbside Pick-up Available

Friday, May 22: 9-12  Curbside Pick-up Available
