JP went over the council’s internet safety responsibilities.
- Web filter the district uses is ContentKeeper.
- Use Bark.us to monitor student Google accounts
- Blocksi.net is used to manage classroom Chromebooks
Youtube is blocked for prek-8
The council helps decide what curriculum the school uses to educate students about internet safety. We use NetSafe
When students access inappropriate content. JP will contact Admin. Admin will investigate and include parents in helping the student.
Parents can contact IT to suggest sites that should be blocked.

- Problems can be reported through the app so the admin can investigate it and help resolve issues
Harmony talked to the city about the crossing at Quail Valley Road/Little Rock
- Right now it has flashing lights. The neighborhood decided to make it a Pedestrian crosswalk. The city is monitoring the crosswalk to see if it meets the requirements to make it a school crossing. At this time it does not meet the requirements.
- It would be good to make a crossing by the seminary building. The closest crosswalk is a quarter of a mile away from the seminary building.
- In the summer both sides of Canyon Road will have sidewalks
Jeff is going to find out who the Stake President is for the church by Edgemont to see if we can get a key and use the church as a reunification site for the school incase of an emergency evacuation.
